Job Purpose and Impact


The Technical Services Specialist will provide technical advice and support to customers on alternative protein, meat analogs during and after product sales. In this position, you'll be the lead technical contact for customers. You'll stay ahead of technology and business practices through internal and external technical collaboration.


Key Accountabilities


+ Collaborate provide on-site technical support for current customers and prospects.


+ Provide customer solutions and technical support materials to strategic customers.


+ Perform complex research for product development to understand product properties and systems operations.


+ Compile and analyze data for project update, working with external suppliers to test new products and technologies to make recommendations on applications.


+ Organize project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations, partner with sales team for product demonstrations and serve as subject matter expert during meetings with customers.


+ Stay ahead of product insight and research to improve value of offerings.


+ Keep application and value collection up-to-date in the systems.


+ Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.


+ Other duties as assigned


This Position could work from a remote home-office location anywhere in the United States OR a Food Innovation center in Plymouth, MN or Wichita, KS

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications


+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience


+ Minimum of four years of related work experience


+ Technical experience with alternative proteins in finished products


+ Customer-facing experience


+ Ability to travel up to 40%


Preferred Qualifications


+ Master's degree, or other post-secondary degree


+ Passion for understanding, creating, and communicating value and solutions to team members and customers.


+ Understanding of formulation related to categories such as alternative protein, meat analogs and processed meat


+ Experience translating customer or industry needs into commercial solutions


+ Strong communication and cross functional collaboration with both internal partners and customers


+ Familiarity with meat manufacturing processes


+ Public speaking experience


+ Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
