Job Purpose and Impact
The Technical Sales Specialist - Forage (Open to Remote) will attain sales goals by providing technical sales advice and support to customers during and after product sales for our U.S. based Provimi Forage Business. In this role, you will be the lead contact for strategic customers, and you will stay ahead of technology and business practices through workshops, research, and professional meetings. You will be instrumental in the development and support of our Forage Preservation portfolio ensuring that it is relevant to our customers.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with consultants to provide onsite technical sales support for current customers and prospects.
Help identify and lead interactions with assigned group of customers to resolve sales opportunities
Perform complex research for product development to understand product properties and systems operations.
Compile and analyze data for project update, working with external suppliers to test new products and technologies to make recommendations on applications.
Organize project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations, assist with product demonstrations and service as subject matter expert during meetings with prospective customers.
Stay ahead of product insight and research to improve value of offerings.
Collaboration with functional teams such as (but not limited to) Formulation, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Production.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum of four years of related work experience with Forage or feed industry
Proficient with data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau or Power BI)
Technical or application experience in forage management-quality
Able and willing to travel up to 50%
Valid driver’s license in good standing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree, PhD degree in microbiology or related field
Deep science background (either prior work with forages or in microbiology)
Experience selling inoculants in forage/pasturage, feed industry
Experience in product development and technical sales relating to forage preservation
Working experience with cross-functional teams related to sales

Applicant Information
The expected salary for this position is $100,000- 130,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
