As a TALENT ACQUISITION PARTNER , you will be on the front-lines of POET’s talent management journey—understanding POET’s needs while seeking out, engaging, and attracting top talent in the industry to help us change the world.

This role will partner with our current team of world class Talent Acquisition Partners and leadership throughout the organization. This role is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting activities, managing key talent acquisition programs and technology and most importantly, managing the candidate experience from attracting and engaging talent through pre-boarding.

The ideal individual is self-motivated, has a sense of urgency and a passion for talent recruitment.


  • Own full-cycle recruiting; focusing on partnering with hiring managers to define recruitment strategies, assess external/internal candidates against business needs, and apply interviewing techniques to assess for culture fit and knowledge.

  • Coach and influence hiring managers to make effective hiring decisions and maintaining a high level of communication.

  • Gather, analyze, and present information related to the supply/demand of talent, the labor market and compensation hiring trends, new sourcing avenues, and other relevant market data to help influence effective results. Track, create, and analyze internal metrics on key recruitment processes.

  • Build, communicate and execute effective sourcing strategies and use research techniques such as direct sourcing, data mining, and networking to identify and attract quality candidates both internally and externally.

  • Manage the candidate engagement, while providing a positive experience and maintaining responsive communication, showcasing POET as the preferred employer to our candidates throughout the recruiting process.

  • Adhere to and provide guidance on internal/external employment laws, regulations, compliance standards, and HR policies and procedures related to maintaining compliance throughout the selection process.

  • Collaborate amongst our People and Culture team and business partners to understand the organizations talent strategy position, identify gaps, and build short and long-term recruiting strategies/initiatives.

  • Utilize POET’s ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to the company's advantage, create and manage job requisitions, and assist with upgrades or new module implementations.

  • Create and maintain job descriptions, written in an appealing format to attract top candidates.

  • Manage POET’s pre-employment background check and pre-employment testing process to ensure compliance, consistency and efficiency.

  • Advise hiring managers on POET’s relocation and mobility program including housing resources, relocation vendors, and team member experience to ensure POET’s program is competitive and supports the goal of attracting top talent.

  • Partner closely with the Talent Scout and key stakeholders to support proactive recruitment initiatives which may include; attending career fairs, networking events, posting job advertisements, sourcing candidates, coordinating informational interviews, researching recruitment trends, etc.

  • Travel, with some overnight stays, is required. It likely averages 10-20% of your time.

  • There is not a lot of physical labor, most of your time in the office will be at a desk. Your longest walk will typically be to a meeting or to the break room to help yourself to one of the gourmet coffee\espresso selections or a piece of fresh fruit.


  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the area of Human Resources, Psychology, or Business. Consideration will be given to candidates with a H.S. Diploma or Equivalent if the experience requirements are met.

  • You have 3+ years of full life-cycle recruitment experience, displaying a deep understanding of the recruitment function.

  • You have experience with relationship management, especially building and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with internal customers.

  • You have experience building, communicating, and executing recruiting strategies that attract the best talent for the job.

  • You have proficient computer skills – MS Office, social media, ATS systems (iCIMS is a plus), and relevant job boards (Indeed and LinkedIn are a plus).

  • You communicate effectively. You write well and speak articulately. You are comfortable communicating both in writing and over the phone.

  • You pay attention to the details but also see the “big picture.” For you, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every time.

  • You are a learner, not afraid of taking on new things and stretching yourself. You are not afraid to ask questions, as you’re always looking to improve and help others.


  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
