* JOB SUMMARY: *
To assist higher grade Special Equipment Maker to build, repair and maintain jigs, fixtures as well as special equipment.
* JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *
Performs a variety of manual labor and learning tasks relating to the fabrication and assembly of the various types of jigs, fixtures and special equipment.
Grinds and cuts materials with equipment.
Uses measuring instruments such as scales, micrometers and other instruments of trade on a learning basis.
Responsible for quality of own work.
Performs other related duties as required.
* EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: *
- Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Uses advanced shop math, a variety of precision measuring instruments and interprets blueprints. Moderate computer skills required. Must commit to complete the required training courses.
* QUALIFICATIONS: *
- Requires a minimum of three (3) months of experience independently building special tooling or directly related experience in building, servicing, or maintaining hydraulic equipment/systems.
