Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team. This role involves traveling to customer locations both domestically and internationally to install, troubleshoot, and service equipment. Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to install or troubleshoot equipment with a high regard for customer service and quality.

  • Install and service all equipment in accordance with drawings and engineered specifications.

  • Oversee installation projects onsite by delegating, communicating, training, organizing, and facilitating effectively.

  • Follow safety guidelines at all times and report any violations to management.

  • Perform in-house assistance to various teams when not in the field.

  • Complete required installation paperwork and expense tracking online.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 3-6 years of mechanical/electrical service/install experience, overseeing assembly and/or installation of quality specialized products.

  • Proven understanding of electrical/mechanical applications, project management, and quality assurance programs.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including weekends, up to 75% of the year and for extended periods of time.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service, technical, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Sound organizational skills and proven ability to delegate tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the amusement industry as a maintenance or electrical technician is preferred.

  • Experience in working with heavy equipment or machinery as a traveling service technician.

  • Mechanical inclination and aptitude regardless of industry experience.

  • Experience with customer relations.

  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and various technical equipment.

  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, schematics, electronics, and wiring.

Work Environment

This role involves traveling to client locations 60% to 80% of the time, with the goal of reducing travel to closer to 60% once fully staffed. Travel includes both national and international locations, with major projects potentially requiring 3-4 weeks on the road. The majority of travel engagements are less than a week for one client. The position is onsite but offers flexibility for remote work, which will require more travel initially for training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00
