Job Summary: Responsible for leading and contributing to the development of complex software projects. Plays a key role in designing and implementing software solutions. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s Character Qualities.
Essential Functions: All expectations described in the job description’s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers/developers. Mentor junior developers and contribute to their professional growth.
• Design and architect scalable and maintainable software systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code. Lead the development of key components and features within the software application.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Analyze complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions. Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, to deliver cohesive and integrated solutions.
• Take ownership of projects, lead development efforts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API documentation, and coding standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to the evolution of the development methodologies.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the development process.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in computer science and/or 7+ years related job experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Expertise in one or more programming languages and a deep understanding of software development principles. Familiarity with multiple technologies and frameworks. Substantial proficiency as a software engineer, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex software projects. Strong system architecture and design skills, including experience with scalable and distributed systems. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring, coaching, and leading technical teams. Ability to make sound decisions and lead by example. Proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Experience in project management, including planning, estimation, and execution. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and technologies. Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest technologies and industry best practices. Strong penchant for critical thought and innovation. Values commitments from meeting times to meeting deadlines. Possesses a servant’s heart with humility towards building trusting relationships.
