Renaissance Senior Software Engineer in Wichita, Kansas

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Data and Assessments team. In this role you will be part of a team responsible for building a next generation K-12 formative assessment platform that integrates into the Renaissance ecosystem.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Own projects, from design to deployment, leveraging the power of the team to provide quality solutions in a timely manner
Use a solution provider mindset, capable of analyzing complex issues and breaking them down into multiple deliverables with little guidance
Identify risks and tradeoffs and provide clear communication about potential impediments
Support the team through code reviews, pair programming, and agile ceremony contributions
Contribute to software development best practices
Communicate effectively within the team and be a bridge to our product counterparts
Work with both legacy and greenfield projects
Participate and grow in a continuous learning environment
7+ years of C# development experience with the ability to adopt other languages as required
5+ years of professional experience in backend development with a focus on building web-based applications
2+ years hands-on experience in AWS services like EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, ECS, Fargate, Route 53, RDS
Experience building microservice solutions
Experience with legacy and monolithic applications
Experience with relational and document databases
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
Working knowledge of frontend technologies, such as Javascript, CSS, and HTML
Bonus points for:
Ed tech industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience working with event-driven architectures
Experience with PHP
Experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, NodeJs, React, Angular)
Experience working in a Lean/Agile/Scrum environment
Knowledge of DevOps processes and technologies around version control, test automation frameworks, continuous integration/deployment, and production monitoring & support

Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000. This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
