Work Schedule: 40 hr/week - Seasonal Temp


Assists with the administrative needs of the Elections Office of Sedgwick County during Elections Seasons. Assists with processing and fulfilling paperwork, data entry, and maintaining and updating Elections records as directed by supervisor.


Administrative Duties


+ Make phone calls to potential poll workers


+ Send emails and updates following standard procedures for the Election Office


+ Enter data into spreadsheets to keep information up to date


+ Proofread documents, data entries, time entries, and communications as directed


+ Proofread and process Advanced Voting applications


+ Pick up, sort, and open mail


+ Coordinate special board scheduling


Customer Service


+ Answer phones and assist by questions to the appropriate area


+ Help walk-in customers with questions and concerns by directing them to the proper workers


Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, or student in good standing. Experience in an administrative setting, or experience in the public sector. Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft suite. Cyber Security Training within the first 30 days of employment. Possess the qualifications to become a registered voter. Per Sedgwick County Policy, this is a driving position that requires current valid driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.


Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Six months of experience in an administrative setting, or experience in the public sector. Ability to type 60 wpm. Ability to operate various standard office machines including high-speed printers and mailing equipment. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
