Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To perform professional level reliability engineering assignments of average and higher complexity in the specialized field of reliability.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and implements procedures and systems for predicting and monitoring reliability and reliability growth on general aviation aircraft and systems.
Maintains a strong working knowledge in the use of the reliability methodologies and tools. (Early, useful and wear out life; Weibull distribution; mean-time-between-failures; confidence limits, etc.)
Maintains a solid working knowledge of and the use of computers in analyzing reliability data.
Coordinates with other engineering and technical groups to implement and monitor reliability activities.
Maintains a working knowledge of probability and statistics and their application to reliability engineering.
Abilities to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with other functions within the company and outside the company.
Prepares and presents verbal and written material on reliability topics and related fields to peers and management groups.
Requires frequent contact with personnel in Engineering, Product Support, Supply Chain and outside suppliers.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree required in engineering or related technical field
Experience in engineering or related field preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
The ability to learn multiple aircraft subsystems to become proficient in how they interact with other systems and affect overall component reliablity.
The ability to work in a team environment and to effectively communicate with peers, management, and customers.
Must be able to use common software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must have understanding of basic statistics
