Cornejo Ready Mix QA/QC Technician in Wichita, Kansas
SummaryThis position involves the performance and record keeping for Ready Mix concrete quality control testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support a culture that promotes safety as top priority while ensuring compliance with all federal, state and company regulatory policies and procedures.
Field and plant testing of fresh Ready Mix concrete. Including but not limited to coring, slump testing, unit weights, air testing, and compressive cylinders.
Enter testing data into a quality control software, this includes basic material record keeping.
Interpret testing results and effectively communicate results.
Report findings to supervisor to ensure mix specifications are met.
Travel to sites and plants to complete testing procedures, as needed. Occasional distance travel is required.
Other duties as assigned by management.

High school diploma required. College or vocational training preferred.
Two years previous experience in concrete quality control is preferred.
Must have a basic understanding of construction materials, specifically Ready Mix concrete.
Must be able to interpret test results and communicate findings with supervisors.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately. Also have knowledge of Internet software, Excel Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 Certification
Standard driver's license is required.
