JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Product Leader role will be responsible for meeting or exceeding key stakeholder and customer (both internal and external) expectations through the entire product lifecycle. The Quality Product Leader will employ a sound project management mindset to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control programs throughout the product lifecycle within the constraints of scope, time and cost. Moreover, this individual will act as the primary contact for all Quality Assurance activities, chairing the Quality Assurance product team and serving as the spokesperson for Quality Assurance at the Product Core Team. Success for this role will require coordination and collaboration across multiple organizations, including Operations, Customer Support, Parts and Distribution, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Nurture strong partnerships, as well as a collaborative working relationship with peers within Operations, Customer Support, Parts and Distribution, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales.

II. Manage all phases of programs from concept through customer validation and subsequent sustainment of the product. Responsible for the overall coordination and execution of program requirements within the Quality Assurance organization, in harmony with the program activation manual (PAM).

III. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and customers to understand complex business challenges, establish product expectations and milestones, and deliver a solution that meets or exceeds expectations.

IV. Utilize creative ideas to refresh tradition approaches to the business

V. Collaborate with data analysts to process raw information from multiple sources in an effort to develop automated metric and reporting dashboard with the goal of assisting leadership to make informed decisions.

VI. Employ a variety of communication styles to ensure stakeholder and customer satisfaction via regular product updates, including program reviews with senior leadership.

VII. Develop and or refine project management and system analysis tools and capture best practices/lessons learned.

VIII. Employ a disciplined project management approach, such as the new product and service introduction (NP&SI) with a bias toward action, analytical presentation /problem-solving skills; the ability to gain internal support; and the ability to establish and maintain a solid working relationship with technical staff, managers, and peers in a matrix organizational structure.

IX. Manage, track, and report risks, opportunities, and financial metrics throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relative aviation experience, particularly in manufacturing, supply chain, finance, customer service or engineering.

QUALIFICATONS:

  • Pursues everything with energy and drive

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple strategic initiatives at the same time to accomplish a goal

  • Proven ability to cope with change and comfortable with risk and uncertainty

  • Capable of building constructive and effective relationships, thereby building the appropriate rapport to marshal resources across complex organizations to get things done

  • Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers

  • Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects, defining clear objectives and goals for the entire product team

  • Ability to identify relevant information and explain technical details to a broad audience

  • Strong Presentation and communication skills to an executive audience

  • Creativity to conceptualize and develop non-traditional solutions.

  • Skilled with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong command/understanding of project management software tools
