+ Implements, maintains, and assists in the documentation of changes to quality assurance monitoring programs on products, raw materials, processes and packaging.

+ Assists in the implementation and maintenance of SPC and HACCP programs within assigned areas of responsibility.

+ Assists in the training and direction of plant hourly employees as it relates to sanitation, food safety & plant quality control.

+ Communicates with the appropriate operations personnel to resolve day-to-day problems.

+ Assures the proper handling of products and services when not meeting Hormel and regulatory requirements.

+ Assists in the monitoring of departmental and plant-wide goals to improve quality, maximize efficiencies, and minimize costs.



+ A bachelor's degree in a related field.

+ Demonstrated pattern of initiative and leadership.

+ Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
