Johnson Controls' Wichita operation designs, builds and distributes around one million pieces of residential heating and cooling equipment every year. Johnson Controls Wichita builds and assembles some of the biggest HVAC brands in the industry, including York, Luxaire, Coleman, Champion and Guardian.The primary manufacturing campus sits on 63 acres with a total of 1.3 million square feet. It has also translated into large employment growth in Wichita, where its workforce is around 1,600 employees which is up nearly 22 percent year over year. The Wichita manufacturing facility is the largest non-aircraft manufacturing plant in Wichita.

Normal Working Hours
1st Shift (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM) / 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM) / 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
What we look for
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
+ One to three months experience in a fast-paced environment
+ Self-motivated, self-starter
+ Ability to meet the physical demands of the position to include; stooping, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and bending at the waist; utilizing a variety of hand tools; lifting up to 50 pounds; standing up to 12 hours
+ Ability to work mandatory overtime, including weekends (Saturdays and/or Sundays)
+ Aptitude for learning new skills & flexibility to perform a variety of tasks
+ Ability to adapt to the work environment and demonstrate a positive attitude
+ Must attend and pass the Johnson Controls Manufacturing Training and Safety class
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
