Process Manufacturing Engineer Manager
Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan.
Ensures the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes in support of the type design.
Uses process engineering principles and techniques. Develops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations.
Performs trade and cost studies and assists in leading integrated product and process teams.
Ability to apply knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.
Required Skills & Experience:
Prefer ME leadership experience
Role will be in the Process ME organization, with potential scope over:o Machining (including 3, 4, and 5-axis, soft and hard metal, and associated processes)o Sheet metal (including forming and heat treating)o Skin Fabrication (including stretch form, chemical processing, and bonding metallic skins)o Chemical processing (including anodize, prime, alodine, etc.)
Role will have interaction and requirements from multiple internal and external customers in regards to process specifications and engineering requirements
Role has the potential to be a step in the make/buy decision making process
Group is responsible for quoting new work potentially entering the Fabrication organization
