VMware Partner Development Manager - End User Computing - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Wichita, Kansas
Partners are becoming increasingly important in driving the deployment and consumption of VMware products and services. VMware is implementing a number of initiatives to identify service delivery capacity gaps, drive-up partner capabilities and competency, and support partner success with VMware solutions to accelerate solutions adoptions and consumption, building closer engagement with VMware services & sales teams.
The Partner Development Manager (PDM) is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and activating Cloud Services Partners. These partners will work with the PDM to drive VMware solutions that deliver valuable customer outcomes. The PDM will also help partners scale their customer success practices to drive consumption of VMware XaaS offerings. The PDM-Led partners have clear objectives to increase adoption of VMware Multi-Cloud, App modernization, Digital workspace, Networking and Security technology solutions, as well as speed time to consumption by customers. The PDM will act as a trusted advisor for the partners they will manage, focusing on winning the hearts and minds of partners, Executives, and teams to positively influence capacity, capability, promotion, transaction, and deployment of VMware solutions.
The Partner Development Manager is required to have strong sales and technical knowledge of VMware technology and offerings. They must have the ability to build actionable relationships with the partners’ leaders, including sales, pre-sales, delivery and post-sales departments. The PDM will engage with the partner and will be responsible for building and executing a practice and business development plan, including adapted enablement planning, accelerating accreditations & certifications, marketing and sales plan. Then, they will be tracking projects developments as well as deployments & consumption of VMware solutions with customers. The Partner Development Manager will be instrumental to support partners in developing best in class VMware sales, consulting, deployment and managed services practices, to help their customers in their digital transformation, Multi-Cloud and applications modernization journey.
They will maintain a cadence for communication on the progress, execution and escalation of any issues to management and relevant stakeholders.
In addition, the Partner Development Manager will assist their partners with building their own portfolio of services offerings or solutions based on VMware technology and by leveraging existing VMware PSO portfolio of services offerings and its underlying Intellectual property, such as services kits. In support of leveraging VMware PSO credits with partners as well, the PDM will track and monitor customer deployments on VMware solutions that coincide with sales bookings and revenue growth.
5+ years experience in Partner Channel, Preferred SaaS or Public Cloud
Experienced and credible C-suite advisor with strong customer/partner relationship-building skills for them to sell and drive VMware messaging, opportunity and investment ROI
Demonstrated ability to provide impactful results through listening, building a 360 vision of partners, developing and executing the relevant enablement, business and marketing plan that drive successful sales and services results
Demonstrated technical understanding of solutions that support customers’ digital transformation, including Multi-Cloud, Networking, Digital Workspace, Application modernization
Ability to uncover business challenges & recommend solutions to solve those challenges
Understanding of software business models, including perpetual and subscription, good knowledge of Hyperscalers’ model and ecosystem would be appreciated
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and operate successfully in a rapidly changing environment
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field of study
