The Nurse Clinic Manager, under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations (DCO), will co-manage the day-to-day nursing operations to ensure an efficient and effective workplace. The Nurse Clinic Manager will provide management oversight for the development of high quality, cost effective, and integrated clinical programs while ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources available to meet the business and clinical needs of Hunter Health Clinic. The Manager will also ensure continuous quality improvement by developing systems to achieve excellence in clinical quality and patient care.


+ Work closely and collaboratively with the other Nurse Clinic Manager, to include utilizing clear communication in order to maintain a consistent management approach.

+ Hire, supervise, and train all of the Clinical Operations’ Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Medical Assistants (MA), and Care Management staff.

+ Coach and provide feedback, performance management, and evaluations of all staff under supervision.

+ Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations to develop and manage all procedures and workflow to be consistent with the organization’s objectives, protocols, regulations, and standards, and oversee that operations conform to established environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.

+ Collaborate with clinical operations leadership, staff, and providers to ensure that the clinical practice is running according to the organization’s business plan, working towards achievement of organizational goals, and adhering to evidence-based best practices.

+ Analyze and determine appropriate staff mix, scheduling, and to support patient needs and financial viability.

+ Implement systems improvements to increase efficiency in operations and patient experience.

+ Coordinate the day-to-day execution of practices that increase productivity and efficiency.

+ Ensure excellence in patient care, monitor patient service feedback, and contribute to the process of resolving complaints and service issues.

+ Respond to clinical and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.

+ Ensure compliance with all OSHA, HRSA, IHS, and Hunter Health Clinic policies and procedures.

+ Manage medical supplies and inventory. Procure medical equipment for the organization.

+ Supervise students or volunteers, as needed.

+ Lead and participate in meetings, as requested and needed.

+ Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of instruments.

+ Maintain the acceptable standard of client confidentiality according to law and professional office standards.

+ Implement and maintain a budget.

+ Integrates information gleaned from monthly reports and other data sources to change processes w ithin the clinic.

+ Coordinates and actively participates on department and organizational projects.

+ Participates, as needed, as a member of various committees related to the overall improvement of the organization.

+ Represents Hunter Health Clinic at functions, as requested.

+ Assists with overseeing employee health requirements.

+ Develops realistic plans; balances short and long-term goals; uses time and resources effectively; prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and emergencies; meets deadlines and follows through; requests assistance when necessary, to complete duties.
