This position works in a team environment, interacting with multiple disciplines and levels of leadership, providing contractual and strategic guidance, establishing effective long-term customer relationships, and meeting commitments to ensure customer satisfaction.</p> <p><strong>Summary of Responsibilities:</strong> &nbsp;Writes, reviews, and negotiates contracts pertaining to grants, sponsored research, service activities and other initiatives. Facilitates grant proposal development and fund sourcing as well as campus training efforts. Researches and interprets regulations, guidelines, and standards and oversees the processing of contracts and/or grants.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Writes, reviews, and negotiates contracts, grants, and other sponsored awards. Review, assemble, and submit proposals on behalf of the university.</li> <li>Delivers education and guidance to staff, departments, and administrators in development of competitive proposals and award administration of projects as well as funding policies, rules, and regulations.</li> <li>Researches and facilitates compliance with University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations in the daily operations of the contract/grant lifecycle. Advises leadership regarding potential conflicts of interest and time and dispute resolutions.</li> <li>Assists with the production of reports, proposals, and analyses for the University and for federal, state, educational, and other funding and regulatory agencies.</li> <li>Collects and prepares required documentation for proposals and contracts.</li> <li>Develops and reviews budget pertaining to the sponsored awards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <p><strong>Minimum Education:</strong> &nbsp;Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field by hire date</p> <p><strong>Preferred Education</strong></p> <p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong> &nbsp;Two (2) years of experience in proposal development, research compliance, contract drafting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: &nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to identify identify and mitigate potential contract risks when reviewing terms and conditions</li> <li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with proven presentation and communication skills across all levels.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse populations.</li> <li>Excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively under time critical deadlines and with multiple priorities.</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate with many client stakeholders.</li> <li>Ability to gain consensus and buy-in from a varied group and move forward to achieve goals.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively as part of a team.</li> <li>Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Ex cel, and PowerPoint)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Licenses, Certificates and Registrations:&nbsp;</strong> NONE</p> <p><strong>Sponsorship: &nbsp;</strong>No, due to export control requirements, the University cannot sponsor applicants for employment authorization for this position.</p> <p><strong>User Export Compliance:</strong> &nbsp;This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies.
