Job Description Summary:
This employee will work with our Melanoma program. He/she will be responsible for obtaining informed consent from patients, research data collection and entry, maintenance of web-based research data base and regulatory paper work for research studies. Other responsibilities will include editing and formatting of manuscripts, grants and PowerPoint presentations, assisting in writing of clinical trial protocols/informed consents and transporting study samples from one location to another.
Obtaining informed consent from patients.
Assistance in maintenance of regulatory paper work for research studies.
Research data collection and entry.
Transportation of research specimens.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and accepted abbreviations.
Communication skills and the ability to coordinate and cooperate with multiple members of the health care team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
** Required Qualifications **
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience). Computer skills: experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent work ethic Self-motivated and willing to learn. Organized with attention to detail.
** Preferred Qualifications **
Prior Medical experience. Prior Medical research experience. Computer skills: experience with Endnote, PubMed, Paint, SPSS, Adobe
