Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with over 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform their own set-ups and runs on the machine with minimal supervision. A strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential. Proficiency in utilizing Fanuc Controls at the machine is also required. This role requires a candidate who can start immediately with little training and direction.
Responsibilities
Perform set-ups and runs on CNC mills independently.
Utilize height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and read blueprints accurately.
Operate and program machines using Fanuc Controls.
Handle and operate 3 Axis Mills and Mill Turn Lathes effectively.
Work within a two-machine cell environment.
Maintain and provide your own set of tools, including 6” calipers, 0-1 inch micrometer, dial indicator, edge finder, wrenches, dead blow hammer, and Allen wrenches.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
Proficiency in performing set-ups and runs on CNC mills.
Strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading.
Experience with Fanuc Controls.
Ability to work with 3 Axis Mills and Mill Turn Lathes.
Must provide own tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Haas, Kia, and Doosan machines.
Experience in Mill Turn operations.
Knowledge of G Codes and M Codes.

Work Environment
Work in a smaller machine shop environment with around 50 employees. The facility is climate-controlled, and the dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. The first shift hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, with the possibility of overtime by starting earlier and working on Saturdays from 7am to noon.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
