Under general direction from the director or clinical supervisor, provides outpatient psychotherapy and counseling services to Cana Counseling clients and othercollaborations as necessary.
Accountabilities
- Assigned productivity standards are met.
- Interviews clients to assess emotional, social, and educational needs. Completes and\ records intake assessments, social histories, mental status exams, suicide and other risk\ assessments, progress notes, and other related information according to agency policies.
- Provides accurate diagnoses, develops treatment plans with clients to assist clients in\ meeting their goals. Treatment plan updates are due every 90 days or in response to\ client sentinel events.
- Provides appropriate referrals for clients to other agencies or services as needed.
- Conducts individual, couple, family, and/or group therapy sessions. Provides a strengths-based approach to client problems and concerns. Confers with outside providers with\ proper authorization to support client progress where appropriate.
- Promotes services and maintains professional contacts with other area providers/agencies.\ Represents Cana Counseling to interested groups through discussions or seminars on\ psychoeducational topics.
- Participates in clinical supervision per licensure, administrative supervision, peer review,\ and case record review according to agency policies to ensure quality care of clients and\ compliance with case records.
- Works effectively with the Director to actively seek out promotional opportunities for\ Cana Counseling and for staff clinical expertise.
- Demonstrates an understanding of, and support for, the mission of Catholic Charities and\ acts as a representative of Catholic Charities in this role.
- Performs other related assigned duties.
