Description
Job Summary:
To assist with completion of interior installations of all standard and optional equipment in a variety of
aircraft which may include, assembly, bond, sand and fill on a variety of composite parts, silk screens and
placards installations and adjustments of upholstery, furniture, and accessories per standard shop
practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works from aircraft orders, production inspection records, engineering specifications, engineering
orders, and manufacturing planning requirements to complete the interior installations of
upholstery items, furniture, and accessories with limited supervision.
Support interior repair squawks as needed to meet delivery schedules.
Bonds and assembles composite parts before and for upholstery with components using
assembly jigs and shop aids with the use of rivets, fasteners, screws and liquid adhesive. Applies
upholstery when required.
- Keeps work area clean emphasizing cleanliness of the aircraft interior and its protection using
protective covers on windows, seats, floors, etc., during and after installation.
Requires using a variety of hand and power tools and basic measuring instruments.
Responsible for quality of own work.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification or
trades training to apply simple arithmetic and measuring devices. Ability to interpret blueprints and simple
drawings.
Experience:
Requires a combination of 3 months of experience in upholstery, bench upholstery, and/or mechanical
aircraft interiors installation, or related experience.
This role is eligible for a $4,000 (pre-tax) sign-on bonus. Terms & conditions apply. The Company reserves the right to amend or suspend this program at any time.
