We are looking for a Grant Writer with experience identifying funding opportunities and developing successful proposals and grant applications. If you have a bachelor’s degree in Communications, English or a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a grant writer for a for-profit organization and have a history of winning private, corporate and/or government grants, we have an exciting new opportunity for you. Experience submitting a major federal, state or county grant with many intricacies, deadlines and deliverables is highly preferred.


POSITION SUMMARY


Research and identify funding opportunities, develop and write successful proposals and grant applications and letters of inquiry, and submit grant proposals to third-party entities. Ensure compliance with grant agreements and report requirements. Review grant budgets, track, analyze, and report data on the performance of program activities funded by third-party public, and private sources, foundation, corporate, and individual philanthropist prospects, and collaboratively work with team members in maintaining the grant proposal and research process.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE


+ Utilize effective grant prospect research practices to distinguish and identify new funding opportunities and conduct prospect research.


+ Research, draft and prepare competitive letters of inquiry, grant applications, and grant reports, generating compelling content that meets funder-identified guidelines and/or Integra internal protocols. This includes budgets, and any required attachments and data. Provide detailed information, including both qualitative information and quantitative data on Integra’s efforts and impact.


+ Collaborate with members of the Integra team on organizational fundraising and grant management strategies and processes.


+ Develop and implement monitoring procedures to track grant implementation.


+ Follow up with grant-making organizations during the review of a submitted grant application to supply additional supportive material as needed.


+ Maintain and implement funding calendar activities, including cultivation and reporting activities.


+ Work with the Finance Department to prepare monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports to government, foundations, and other funders as required.


+ Seek out opportunities to fully understand Integra Technologies and what services and products we offer. Utilize what is learned to effectively educate others and narrate


+ Participate in professional development and networking conferences, webinars, podcasts, and other appropriate avenues in order to expand knowledge of grant writing and funding opportunities. Maintain knowledge of grant writing programs and best practices.


+ Participate in fundraising activities, staff, and department meetings.


+ Maintain a zero defects mindset in all daily activities.


+ Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Affairs, or related field required.


Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a grant writer for a for-profit organization required with a history of winning private, corporate and/or government grants. Experience submitting a major federal, state, or county-level grant with many intricacies, deadlines, and deliverables is highly preferred.

+ Excellent project management skills along with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of personalities and leadership styles.


+ Must be highly organized and motivated, goal and people-oriented, possess strong initiative and solid judgment abilities and be able to operate independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.


+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with the ability to utilize effective communication tools that speak to the audience.
