nINVISTA is searching for a Global Commodity Manager for Indirect Materials & Services who will have responsibilities in North America and could include Global responsibilities. The possible commodities would be indirect material including but not limited to equipment, labor & contract services, engineering services, packaging, marketing communications & advertising, materials and other services. The role reports to the Global Strategic Commodity Leader. The Commodity Manger will be responsible for their specific commodities, but will work in a Procurement team with other Commodity Managers and also will create teams and networks within all of INVISTA?s operations. The Global Commodity Manager will be located in Houston, TX OR Wichita, KS.nn

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

+ Ensure the development and effective execution of category strategies that deliver a competitive advantage to our businesses focused providing the highest performing solutions while optimizing the total cost of ownership.

+ Create and maintain relationship with plant clientsn


+ Investigate and understand plant purchasing processes regarding services

n

+ Develop strong relationships with key plant personnel for assigned commodities in conjunction with plant operational, financial, and procurement personnel, develop comprehensive commodity strategies

n

+ Assist in the training and implementation of Services Best Practices within plants

n


n

+ Create value through connecting supplier capabilities and expertise to meet INVISTA?s needs and opportunitiesn


+ Research and understand capabilities of key suppliers within each commodity including contract terms, annual spend, and method of application within plant

n

+ Develop personal relationships with key suppliers by establishing regular supplier review meetings to facilitate communication

n

+ Apply appropriate contract terms, terms of reference, outline agreements, and pricing structures to new and existing suppliers

n

+ Apply consistent guidelines for evaluating, selecting, and adding new suppliers

n

+ Develop mechanism for supplier performance feedback from plant clients

n

+ Understand market conditions to develop the optimal commodity strategyn


+ Develop standardized external market tracking for key, high volume, commodities

n

+ Regularly evaluate assigned commodities against market factors using contract negotiations, competitive bidding, supplier urveys, and plant feedback

n

+ Create and maintain market forecast for key commodities and develop plans to adapt existing strategies to efficiently adapt to changes in market conditions

What You Will Need:

nnBasic Qualifications:n


+ 1+ years professional work experience in procurement

n

+ Bachelor?s degree in Sourcing, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, or related Business degree

n

+ Experience with MS Office Software (Excel ? Working knowledge of pivot tables and data analysis. Word- document creation/editing and Power Point presentation creation/editing)

n
