Work Location: Wichita, KS
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts, and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel and optimization of product flow.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Based on these studies, leads the development and implementation of optimized product flow.
Utilizes analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool, and equipment utilization as well as line balancing.
Leads projects supporting critical improvement opportunities in the shop as identified by the team.
Performs trend analysis of shop performance measures to identify opportunities and improvements.
Supports the development of time standards to the shop floor as well as standard work for operations and processes.
Develops business cases and provides return on investment analysis, supporting proposals of forward-looking projects.
Knowledge of IE Tools used in production including capacity analysis, theory of constraints, waste elimination, production improvements.
Knowledge of leading projects and project teams with a continuous improvement focus.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
2 to 4 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree or 0 to 2 years with Master's Degree.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accreditation is preferred, although not a required accreditation standard.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing environment.
