Meritrust Credit Union Electronic Services Payments Manager in Wichita, Kansas
The primary function of this position to oversee the operations of all electronic Payments to deliver high quality service to members and the organization.

Responsible for leading a team dedicated to electronic payment systems.
Participates in the hiring of Payments Associates.
Responsible for the supervision, development, training, evaluation, and discipline of direct reports.
Fosters positive working relationships with business partners, Meritrust branch and department staff.
Recommends innovative solutions to ensure the best service to the members.
Responsible for maintaining effective communications with direct manager by establishing routine updates

Regularly monitors, coaches and evaluates individual employee service request statistics, employee/member interactions, and job proficiency.

Writes, develops, and maintains procedures and documentation to improve efficiency and consistency
Handles escalated issues as necessary and presents issues to all affected users, assesses appropriate steps, and executes corrective action with vendors, personnel, and management, as necessary.
Oversees daily operation of electronic payments, ACH, Visa portfolio, dispute resolution, and shared branching.
Assesses and analyzes performance of card portfolio to maintain optimal performance.
Oversees the uptime of delivery channels for service quality ensuring all electronic payment products are delivered within established quality standards and holds vendors accountable to service levels.
Proactively plans for and responds to business interruptions and catastrophic events. Participates in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning as assigned.
Work on cross functional teams to set up processes for new products and services, ensuring effective processes are established and internal control standards are maintained.
Initiate and help implement in collaboration with IT any operational upgrading, product rollout and testing required as a result of new regulations, or necessary enhancements.
Play an active role in project planning and implementation, and work with the senior management team to achieve credit union goals of wider product range and increased number of payment solutions.
Implements risk prevention strategies to mitigate losses based on current fraud trends and industry best practices as related to electronic payments and card activity.
Proficient in federal, state, and network rules and regulations. Interact with external auditors as necessary to facilitate the completion of audits and examinations.
Completion of annual Meritrust education and development program, as well as applicable Management Training programs offered internally.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
2 years in leadership role of related field including employee development
Prior experience in electronic services or similar
Previous financial institution experience preferred, including knowledge of principles and practices of a financial institution
Excellent oral/written communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate applicable PC programs necessary for job function. Microsoft Office suite proficiency preferred
High School diploma or equivalent
Some college education desired
Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification (or in progress) preferred
Hours (i.e. Mon-Fri 9am-6pm & some Sats 9am-12noon): Mon-Fri 8am-5pm & some Sats 9am-12noon when necessary
