Cornerstone onDemand Director, Sales Compensation - REMOTE (United States) in Wichita, Kansas

The Director, Sales Compensation is responsible for the strategy, design, development, and communication & implementation of all sales compensation for CSOD. This role is also responsible for assisting sales leadership in developing the overall organization strategy and compensation programs to drive revenue through all direct and indirect sales channels and provides support to the sales organization, finance organizations and Total Rewards team.

Primary Responsibilities Will Include

  • Spearhead the design, implementation, and operational aspects of all sales variable payments, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs in accordance with the monthly commission process for all commissionable employees.

  • Lead and develop high-performing individuals to build a best in class Sales Commissions team.

  • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional peers, supporting Sales leadership, Sales Operations, and Finance teams with monthly and quarterly metrics and reporting.

  • Design and implement efficient and scalable processes, continually evaluating and optimizing Commissions policies and processes relative to industry best practices.

  • Communicate incentive plan design and strategy to executives and members of the sales organization.

  • Resolve commissions disputes and manage exceptions processes.

An Ideal Candidate Would Have

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a Compensation, Finance or related Sales Operations role; experience at a high-growth SaaS technology company is a plus.

  • Bachelor Degree required; preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • Management experience hiring, inspiring, developing, and retaining a high-performing team.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively across functions and levels throughout the company.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big picture strategic understanding.

  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative, fast growing environment, good business acumen and awareness of business trends, high degree of motivation, responsibility, and flexibility.

  • Experience using automated sales commissions systems (e.g., Ex Xactly, Anaplan, etc.).and developing complex excel models

  • Experience designing commission plans for SaaS companies
