Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide training, support, and coaching in group home or day program settings - supports could include teaching people how to:
- - prepare for/participate in leisure activities gym workouts, basketball, Special Olympics sports, dances, crafts, etc. - maintain living space, personal hygiene, and balance in their home life & weekly schedules. - participate in activities, exercise, practice etiquette, and develop coping skills & self esteem. - plan and prepare meals, grocery shop, operate household appliances, and maintain a budget. - use community resources, understand their rights, and be safety aware.
Some positions may require assisting individuals with hygiene/personal care. A comprehensive two-week, weekday, daytime orientation is provided and required (this is excellent paid training). Hiring immediately. EOE
Shifts available: Mon-Fri 8a-4p; Fri 3p-Midnight + Sat/Sun 8a-8p; Mon-Thur 3p-Midnight; 3rd shift - Tue-Fri Midnight-8a; or Sat Midnight-8a + Sat & Sun overnight 8p-8a.
