They will need to be proven in concept, tested, and approved for production. Then the change needs to be documented through the ECO process and the initial process overrun.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following:Exemplary understanding of HVAC systems and have experience in design of refrigeration systems.Comprehension of the ECO process and following changes through the system and overseeing the first production run to complete the process.Understands the concepts of Design for Manufacturing and the ability to implement this in all projects being conducted.Ability to work with SolidWorks CAD software.Ability to understand UL requirements and how those impact the product. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with various interruptions.Ability to work alone or with little direction to perform the required task(s) at hand.Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.Analyzes equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.Provide support to customer service team as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned to support the organization.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in related engineering discipline preferred.1 3 years prior product development experience in refrigeration /HVAC field with an OEM is preferred.COMPUTER SKILLSProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Proficient computer skills and ability to learn required systems that are utilized to be successful in this position, such as SolidWorks CAD software.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to write reports and business correspondence.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, multitasking abilities, and the ability to communicate written and orally.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, and co-workers.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages, and the aptitude for detailed investigation of results.Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. REASONING ABILITIESAbility to identify and describe practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
