Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
Creates measurement plans from engineering drawings that use photogrammetry, laser trackers, articulating arms, or other metrology 3-D instruments to measure assemblies and subassemblies
Uses computer-aided designs (CAD) graphic user interface software for design
Set up and operate 3-D metrology instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies
Develop training for performing 3-D measurements
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products
Performs statistical analysis to assess, characterize, control, and manage risks of product quality and associated use conditions and non-conformances
Ensures that corrective measures and deviations meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
Perform root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
5-9+ years of related experience
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
STEM background
Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical field
Experience with measurement specific software tools (i.e. Spatial Analyzer, Polyworks, Verisurf, Metrology, etc.)
Hands-on measurement experience in a Lab and Production environment
Experience with photogrammetry, laser trackers, articulating arms, or other metrology 3-D measurement instruments
Experience with CATIA, Enovia, 3-D Experience and SAP
Knowledge/experience with CAD software, such as CATIA and NX
Knowledge/experience with measurement software such as Spatial Analyzer
Able to follow complex instructions accurately
Able to properly use and care for precision measurement equipment
Able to approach an issue with a logical framework
Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience working at elevated heights on ladders, scaffolding and tooling
Experience safely climbing up and down ladders, scaffolding and tooling
