Summary:
The Government Compliance Analyst – Training Specialist 3 is part of an established cohesive team responsible for evaluating internal operational and procedural compliance in accordance with applicable U.S Government regulations. The Government Compliance Analyst – Training Specialist performs gap analysis of established training and training required to comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR). This includes all training required to comply with the six Contractor Business Systems as stated in the DFAR. Supports audits performed by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
Monitor Spirit for compliance with the U.S. Government rules and regulations.
Regularly reviews operations to ensure purchasing practices complies with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and supplements
Identify training weaknesses and recommend solutions as they relate to the six Contractor Business Systems
Remain current on applicable U.S. Government regulations, industry best practices, newsletters, media, and information that support compliance standards
Support all DCMA and DCAA Business System Reviews. Assist with addressing audit findings and perform follow up actions
Execute a comprehensive Government Compliance program which includes coaching, formal training, newsletters, and various forms of communication to build, maintain, and improve U.S. Government compliance capability and control
Respectfully challenge any inconsistencies to ensure full compliance, and aggressively address issues
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's and 4+ years' related work experience, or a Master’s Degree and 2+ years’ related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Must be able to obtain and retain a secret DoD Clearance
Must have general FAR/DFAR knowledge
Strong communication, writing and computer skills
Must possess strong presentation skills and ability to present to a large group of personnel
Must be detail oriented
Preferred Skills:
Ability to understand and apply U.S. Government regulations and ensure strict adherence to FAR and FAR Supplements
Understanding of U.S. Government Acquisition process
Ability to work with functional and program teams to abide by and follow relevant policies, procedures, and desktop instructions
SAP Knowledge
Ability to educate others on process controls and U.S. Government Compliance requirements
Ability to work with U.S Government auditors in a collaborative and transparent manner
