Job Purpose:Tears down, repairs, and rebuilds a variety of instrumentsfor conformance to specifications by performing the following duties. Works under direct supervision of the Lab Supervisor.

Essential Functionsinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Inspects electronic units to specifications by visualinspection, build, and test electronic units.Trouble shoot by testing at the unit level to determine the functionality of the unit.

Completes appropriate paperwork for the inspection process by writing out evaluations and entering the data into the computer.

Cleans and inspects unit, replaces parts as necessary and calibrates unit to proper specifications and functionally tests and creates a run sheet to document the readings.

Prepares work order and unit to be sent to inspection as per specifications.

Ability tobuild and test electronic units, with troubleshooting background to find root cause on a unit up to component level.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, work orders, and memos. Ability toread and understand blue prints, schematics, and inspection procedures. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to apply advanced math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to communicate in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers, including the ability to speak simple sentences; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and procedures furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to troubleshoot AC and DC circuitry.
