Summary of Responsibilities

The College of Engineering is pleased to announce a search for multiplenon-tenure facultypositions in its School of Computing at theassistant teaching professor or assistant educatorlevel to start inAugust 2024or on a mutually agreed date.\ We seek candidates who are eager to contribute proactively to the inclusive hands-on learning environment that is a hallmark of our educational programs. The School offers two B.S. degrees (Computer Science and Cybersecurity), three M.S. degrees (Computer Science, Data Science, and Computing) and a Ph.D. degree. There are ample opportunities to build partnerships with companies both on and off campus, so students have meaningful projects.\ \

  1. Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Computer Science or Data Science.
  2. Mentoring students and performing departmental service.
  3. Working as a liaison between industry and students, so students can have meaningful term projects.
  4. Providing advising service to graduate and undergraduate students.
  5. Participating in the department, college, university communities and committees; proving service to the department, college, and university.

Minimum Education

Masters Degree in the Computer Science or Data Science field or related.

Minimum Experience

Teaching experience or teaching aptness.

  2. Willingness to support the schools, the colleges, and the universitys diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
  3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to be an effective teacher at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  5. Potential and skill to work with industry on projects.
  6. Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches.
