Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 6pm, Off on Fridays

Responsibilities
Provide a safe environment for children.
Ensure children are supervised at all times.
Ensure the environment is safe, clean and in good repair. Report deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
Follow acceptable protocol when accepting children for child care coverage.
Interact with children and parents appropriately.
Assist in maintaining the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom while allowing for the expressive and creative involvement and interaction of children.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Heart Saver AED obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. . In lieu of Heart Saver, Pediatric CPR and First Aid through ASHI, AHA or LifeSaver Learning, Inc. obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transferdate will be accepted.
Food Service Professional credentialed from the ServSafe National Restaurant Association obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Will accept Food Handler Card through Food Handler Essentials Course through State Food Safety within 1 Month (30 days) of hire or job transfer date required.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,if applicable
Additional Preferences
Minimum 6 months experience in licensed child care center required.
CDA or related college degree strongly preferred.
Must be KDHE teacher-qualified to work with toddlers or willing to obtain immediately.
