Summary of Responsibilities:
The faculty member creates, delivers and evaluates curriculum for assigned MLS courses; participates in department, college and university initiatives, exhibiting an attitude of interdisciplinary cooperation and commitment to diversity; and serves the continuing education and consultation needs of the clinical laboratory community.
*Completion of NAACLS accredited bachelor degree program in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Sciences
+ 1. Clinical laboratory practice in hematology within the last three years
+ 2. Clinical teaching at the level of higher education in medical laboratory sciences or related field
US Export Compliance Requirement Knowledge, skills and abilities
+ 1. Knowledge of safety regulations for a clinical laboratory, including requirements for exposure to human body fluids, infectious agents and hazardous chemicals
+ 2. Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ 3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office document creation and maintenance
+ 4. Knowledge of online course management systems, such as Blackboard
Required Licenses, Certificates & Registrations
+ Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist -MLS (ASCP)

Regular Hours of Work Normally Monday-Friday 8-5 with occasional weekend work
