Newman University Admissions CRM Specialist in Wichita, Kansas

Occupational Summary:

Under the supervision of the Admissions CRM Administrator, the Slate Specialist will support the daily functionality of the admissions customer relationship management (CRM) system, Slate. They will supervise the admissions processing team and assist other university personnel with Slate functionality. This role works closely with the Director of Admissions and key stakeholders to support the business needs of the various academic programs across campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide best data practices to the admissions processing team; includes assigning tasks and reviewing timecards.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of existing systems and processes in the context of the enrollment management department.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the CRM and all data reporting systems used for admissions.

  • Provide user accounts, training, and support for Slate users.

  • Build Configurable Joins queries and reports for admissions and campus partners.

  • Collaborate with deans and program directors to create, build, and test new processes, ensuring data security and integrity.

  • Coordinate and perform cycle prep and other necessary data maintenance to support the admissions cycle recruitment in Slate, such as but not limited to Application Building, Report Creation, and CRM Customization.

  • Lead integrations between the Slate and other university software systems, actively participate in the current implementation of the new SIS for the university.

  • Research and evaluate industry best practices to increase efficiency and optimize the use of Slate, by staying up to date in Slate best practices.

  • Serve as the university's technical contact with Slate users and outside partners.

  • Provide Slate CRM support to the admissions team at campus events as needed.

  • This position is remote with required occasional travel.

  • Other duties as assigned and appropriate to the position.

    Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree.                                                         

  • Relevant experience in setup and management of Slate CRM system.

  • Ability to interact and partner with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus among various levels of management and staff.

  • Strong attention to detail; well-organized and results oriented.

  • Experience with data collection, designing workflows, and data audit requirements.

  • Experience building and managing integrations with various third-party admissions applications.

  • Must be available nights and weekends as needed.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid Driver's License.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in higher.

  • Previous experience working in admissions.
