We are seeking to add a Project Manager with accounting expertise / Accounting SME as a critical role within our services transformation team. A successful candidate for this role will collaborate with client engagement teams to design, develop and implement best practices that standardize and evolve the services we offer. This role will combine subject matter expertise within corporate accounting and influential project management skills to spearhead the management and coordination of large-scale projects and identify and implement solution to root cause concerns.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree in accounting with 4-5 years of experience
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence outcomes through collaborating with stakeholders and end users
  3. Self-motivated; ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and maintain progress towards long term goals
  4. Experience with creating and managing financial close checklists with an ability to identify areas of opportunity to streamline the close process

Preferred:

  1. Experience with Flexi or similar ERPs (Sage Intacct, Oracle, NetSuite), Smartsheet, Power BI or other related MIS technologies
  2. General knowledge of project management discipline
  3. Advanced MS Office skills
  4. Familiarity with food service-based accounting including restaurants & fast-food establishments

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive completion of assigned projects within the Finance & Accounting services teams.
  2. Collaborate with transformation and client services leaders to scope and prioritize projects.
  3. Deliver project updates on milestone timelines, team adoption and expected outcomes.
  4. Collaborate with Controllers to configure and deploy best practices framework within client engagements; track and monitor rollout progress; identify roadblocks or bottlenecks and propose risk mitigation options.
  5. Identify, track, and measure continual improvement items across operational towers and within individual clients; create and maintain improvement plans in collaboration with Controller.
  6. Design and propose new processes and best practices in support of service transformation objectives.
