Internship Overview - We have multiple openings across many different areas:
An opportunity to work within Spirit AeroSystems Accounting team on projects related to the new U.S. GAAP lease standard as well as cash applications for customers. You will be given exposure to daily and monthly accounting activities including experience preparing journal entries in SAP, posting cash and payroll, assisting with monthly accrual entries, and monthly close and consolidation. In this role you will learn how to record, track, and post all daily cash transactions, help complete cost transfers and prepare account reconciliation files.
An opportunity to work within Spirit AeroSystems Incurred Costing team across multiple areas of the business and enhance your analytical skills. To cap off the summer, the internship will provide an opportunity to work on a comprehensive project targeting an area of value impactful to the company's success.
An opportunity to work within the Spirit AeroSystems Program Finance team on risk/opportunity monitoring and financial analysis. Internship involves supporting the program cross functional team, financial report generation, and variance to plan analysis, ad hoc analysis, job shadowing financial personnel, and exposure to preparing executive level presentations.
An opportunity to work within Spirit AeroSystems Corporate Tax team. If you have an interest in understanding what it takes to work in a corporate tax department then this is the opportunity for you. The internship will involve work on a project to research and test the implementation of new tax provisioning processes as well as give the intern the visibility into all areas of a highly functioning tax team.
An opportunity to work within Spirit AeroSystems Corporate Audit team. Join this high performing team to execute an audit or project that will enhance value by helping the business manage risk and support risk-adjusted decisions. This is a dynamic, fast-paced internship which will focus on developing analytical, leadership and organizational skills.
Pricing and Business Analyst
An opportunity to work within Spirit AeroSystems Business Analytics team using Big Data Analytics to make better decisions. This internship will explore and analyze growing volumes of structures cost/price data to identify new revenue opportunities, more effective cost management, and improved operational efficiency.
Financial Analysis & Planning
An exciting opportunity to work within Spirit AeroSystems Corporate FP&A team. If you have an interest in understanding what it takes to do financial planning and analysis for a Fortune 500 company, then this is an ideal opportunity for you. The internship will involve work on a project to help with the 2Q close and also assist with the forecast variance tracking and reporting cadence that’s trademark for a high performing FP&A team.
An opportunity to work within Spirit AeroSystems Corporate Treasury & Risk Management team. The internship will involve an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in Treasury Operations (e.g., cash forecasting, bank reporting & administration, and quarterly results reporting to leadership) and Risk Management (contract reviews, corporate insurance, and business continuity management).
You must be enrolled full time in a university degree program aligned to the area of internship.
You must be a current sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
