Pawnee Mental Health Services is a private, not-for-profit community mental health center dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to strengthen the wellness of our communities. Operating over 10 counties in North-Central Kansas, we provide a full range of psychotherapy, crisis, medication management, and substance abuse recovery services to over 7000 adults, adolescents, and children every year. Pawnee is the only provider in our service area who welcomes anyone in need of services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year regardless of their insurance, status as a client, or ability to pay. The Role You Play
As a CSP at Pawnee, you will be responsible for helping children with Severe Emotional Disturbances and their families by providing attendant care. You will work with children alone and in groups, developing and performing activities to enhance functioning based on their treatment plans. This position will require evening work; however, your schedule is up to you.
- The Day-to-Day
- Developing activities to enhance the childs functioning, within established treatment plans
- Working directly with children ages 4-18, individually and in groups, providing services on site or in their home, school, or community
- Scheduling services and documenting progress in the childs health record
- Training in crisis response procedures and providing 1-on-1 support to clients in crisis
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Being an on-call resource for crisis services
- Assist with medication compliance
- Acting as an advocate for mental health rights and community integration
