The Vice President of Accounting will lead multiple core financial areas of the company including FP&A, utilization review meetings, and other key market facing activities. The VP, Accounting is a member of the WelbeHealth leadership or management team and facilitates collaborative relationships across WelbeHealth and with external stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth values, team culture and mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting functions, including Financial Reporting, Consolidations, Lease Accounting, etc.
Own all financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Implement new controls and improve existing processes to help company scale nationally.
Support deal teams with accounting guidance for complex transaction and partnerships, including Build-to-suit leases, joint ventures, managed services agreements, etc.
Experience choosing and implementing various ERPs.
Own the internal risk assessment and controls.
Create, evaluate and upgrade existing accounting policies.
Lead accounting due diligence and establishment of new entities.
Own the audit relationships and process.
Lead a diverse team, across multiple markets.
Manage relationships with banks, key vendors.
Build and run controls.
Provide overall leadership to the Accounting team.
Partner with FP&A to provide analytical support to the CFO regarding financial results and trends.
Support and lead key initiatives of the Finance/Accounting organization and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives for the Company using a service-oriented approach.
Lead efforts to understand and implement new accounting standards.
Manage direct reports including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring.
Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about team members, participants, and families.
Follow WelbeHealth policies and procedures and participate in any required Quality Improvement activities, staff training and meetings
Communicate regularly with Supervisor and team regarding workload and priorities.
Timely completion of all mandated trainings and education.
Timely completion of all mandated occupational health screenings as needed.
Exercises flexibility in performing assignments as business needs evolve.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
Valid State Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
Copy of recent Vehicle Insurance required.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience including minimum of five years in an either investment banking or Big 4 Transaction.
Valuation experience using discounted cash flows, comparable companies analysis, precedent transactions, and sum-of-parts valuation.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing due diligence process on strategic investments and acquisitions.
Skilled at creating processes and organization around routine FP&A business function as well as ad-hoc strategic transactions.
Demonstrated outstanding financial leadership skills and expertise with an emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting, management reporting and projections.
Strong financial background and attention to detail, with full understanding and experience with financial models and analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial culture.
Ability and willingness to dive deep into details.
Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a health or social services program, with managing a senior care program preferred.
Two years’ supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
Ability to process accurate information in a timely manner.
Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families and interdisciplinary team members.
Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects.
Highly motivated, inspirational leader who is able to innovatively engage, support and remove barriers for the team to ensure the team consistently meet established goals.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
