Overview of Role:
The VP GBT Partner Solutions is a critical role in our organization. Importantly, the position is accountable for the growth of GBT Partner Solutions, and be able to think strategically about creating a platform through which we can create value for our partners. The qualified candidate will be responsible for building a pipeline of potential partner agencies and leading a team in the acquisition and relationship management of partners. The qualified candidate will have a strong background in sales, commercial negotiation, and relationship management. Ideally, they will also have a strong network in the TMC space and be connected globally across the industry. The individual will have the ability and desire to drive a significant growth pillar for our business and will be entrepreneurial, strategic, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Rapidly drive revenue generation in line with GBT’s strategic plan and GPS targets. Establish targets for GPS existing and new partners.
Think strategically about how we can create a platform through which to take advantage of GBT’s assets and create value for GBT Partner Solutions members.
Work across senior levels of GBT to build the GPS value proposition. Critical stakeholders will include teams leading our product, technology, and supplier teams.
Manage the end-to-end process of sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and securing partnerships with partners globally. Lead new sales pitches and negotiations with executives of partners.
Be an ambassador for and the voice of GBT Partner Solutions in key global markets, and especially in the US SME TMC space.
Hire, manage and motivate GPS’s business development team, setting key performance indicators and targets.
Operate with little oversight, being both a business negotiator, strategic thinker and executor.
Key Qualifications and Attributes:
10y+ of experience in business development, partnerships, strategic sales and account management.
Experience building and managing relationships with senior executives, both internally and externally.
Highly developed negotiation skills to drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
Successful track record of sourcing, executing, and nurturing strategic partnerships.
Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners. Ability to lead via influence.
Able to work autonomously with a high degree of motivation to achieve goals.
Experience working cross-functionally with various teams, managing initiatives at scale, and delivering results.
Ability to provide strong leadership and work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of Business Travel industry and challenges required.
Established contacts and relationships with potential affiliates and partners a plus.
Candidate to be based in the US.
