Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$94,100.00 - $155,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

As part of the Subrogation Alternative Recovery and Monetization strategies this position will assist the QuantumSubro leadership team with the development of sales strategies, documentation of sold deals and development of strong client relationships. This position will also be accountable for the development of innovative marketing efforts while also collaborating with the Subrogation Product team, Subrogation Major Case, the Field Recovery Centers, and other key stakeholders in the accomplishment of their responsibilities while maintaining overall responsibility for service commitments.

This is a hybrid position that can be located out of any Travelers claim center office location nationwide.

What Will You Do?

  • In collaboration with the QuantumSubro leadership team, support immediate and long-term business strategies to achieve profit and growth objectives through responsible marketing, sound evaluation, and contract development.

  • Build relationships with prospective clients and respond to providers of Request for Proposals (RFP’s) including primarily small to mid-size carriers as well as self-insured clients and secondarily, through brokers, agents, consultants, and where the opportunity exists directly with the Risk Managers.

  • Move qualified opportunities for new business through the RFP process.

  • Coordinate with the Subrogation leadership on loss pick development, packaging of proposal and pricing, and all other activities necessary as part of the quote process.

  • Lead the proposal development process, the completion of new account service presentations and the onboarding of new accounts across all aspects, internal and external, for the successful transition to QuantumSubro handling.

  • Document the sold deal and secure the executed Claim Service Agreement/Contract enabling a timely and complete service transition for new clients.

  • Manage the account stewardship process involving appropriate internal resources and conduct/attend meetings as necessary (i.e. Transition Meetings, Midterm reviews, and Renewal Meetings) to facilitate a strong account partnership. Intervene as necessary to ensure commitments are fulfilled.

  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with accounts and be the focal point for service initiatives and delivery to the clients. Also, become the primary service contact with client third parties in regard to their accounts.

  • Aid Subrogation leadership with the complete recovery and contingency remittance reconciliation process.

  • Facilitate the coordination of a timely and smooth renewal process with the DVC.

  • Maintain joint responsibility with the Subrogation leadership to support profit, growth and expense management goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Travel will be required for this role and may be up to or beyond 25%. Travel would be anywhere across the US as well as local driving required and would include international travel (Canada).

  • 5-7 years sales or client servicing experience within the insurance service industry, including comprehensive knowledge of industry practices and company operations and distribution channels.

  • Subrogation experience and knowledge of Subrogation Industry preferred. Claim handling experience preferred.

  • Effective and adaptable communication skills and style: verbal, written, personal presentation, and listening. Solid knowledge of Microsoft and Lotus products and the ability/willingness to learn and use new technology.

  • Experience in using various automation tools and systems to effectively support distribution system management.

What is a Must Have?

  • • High school diploma or GED required.

  • • Four years Claim handling experience with exposure to/or handling of coverage and liability issues.
