The Strategic Partnership Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to grow market share and associated revenue streams with new and existing partners organizations in accordance with company's overarching objective, goals, and strategies. This position oversees important business relationships that complement and extend the core product offerings of Nelnet Campus Commerce beyond direct sales channels.

Formalization of the NCC Partnership Strategy is the first and foremost priority of this role which includes but is not limited to revenue generation and the expansion of the partner ecosystem.

A qualified candidate will have the skills to take the lead in formalizing the NCC Partnership Strategy and define joint value propositions for existing and future partners. They will have the critical communication skills to build and strengthen third party relationships.

Pay range for this role is $80,000-$90,000. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for Earned Incentive Compensation based on specific performance metrics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and deploy a partnership ecosystem with clear and defined value propositions

  • Proactively source new partnership opportunities through the lens of competitive differentiation and emerging Higher Education trends

  • Develop value realization metrics to measure partnership effectiveness. Deliver fact-based recommendations for system improvement

  • Work with legal and compliance to assure NBS is appropriately protected in all partnership engagements

  • Collaborate with product and IT to define new partner solutions and to influence priorities and roadmaps to scale the partnership program

  • Monitor the operational and financial performance of our partners and escalate concerns or opportunities as identified

  • Grow both direct and indirect partner revenue with existing partners to maximize output to and advocate for their needs internally as necessary to realize goals

  • Travel up to 20% to potential partners and large-scale conferences to represent the organization

EDUCATION:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. 3+ years related experience.

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Process oriented

  • Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent objectives

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills

  • Familiar with contract structures and terminology

  • Strategic planning

  • Ability to develop a data-driven business case for new opportunities
