The Virtualization Infrastructure team provide support and maintenance of our unified system combining elements of a traditional data center: storage network and systems, servers and virtualization. This allows UMB to scale according to our business needs. The team ensures this system is performing at peak capacity to avoid business disruption.

As a Senior VMware Engineer, you will be part of a team involved in making sure the services within virtualization environment are functioning properly through successful performance and coordination of activities involving triage/troubleshooting, patching, and software implementations/upgrades just to name a few. The Virtualization Infrastructure team is a close-knit group of engineers coming from diverse backgrounds. How you’ll spend your time:

  • Working closely with all levels of IT to coordinate the service support and delivery of virtualization technologies with multiple teams from application development to infrastructure.

  • Providing support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VMware technologies and accompanying systems.

  • Utilizing industry standard technologies to ensure the integrity of recoverability of servers, backups, patch installations, performance monitoring, etc.

  • Working with project and application development teams to implement new business initiatives as relating to cloud services.

We’re excited to talk with you if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent applicable experience OR you haveat least 6 years of experience in an IT infrastructure environment.

  • You have at least 5 years of experience with VMware engineering.

  • You have in-depth experience with core VMware products such as vSphere and vCenter. Experience with Site Recovery Manager (SRM), PowerCLI and PowerShell would be highly beneficial.

  • You have in-depth experience with corresponding hardware such as Dell VxRail and Dell Ready Nodes.

The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is typically $87,570 to $162,540 annually.  The selected candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay for the selected candidate may be above or below this range.  The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in one or more incentive plans based on company and individual performance.
