SMX is seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Transformation Architect to join our Cloud Services Business Unit (CSBU) leadership team within the Defense and National Security Division, and work with some of the best Cloud Architects and Engineers in the market. This position is up to 75% remote. CSBU is embarking on an aggressive growth strategy, and this Sr. Architects role is seen as critical to the achievement of Division-level and CSBU-level goals and objectives related to digital transformation in Defense and targeted National Security customer communities.

This Director Digital will support the execution of a wide variety of SMX digital transformation projects including ISV Digital Accelerator, business process automation, and mission application deployment(s) / modernization efforts. This Director must possess extensive senior-level customer strategy / advisory engagement experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Cloud Consulting & senior advisory support services to Defense and National Security clients (to include generation of project deliverables (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)

  • Support technical Defense & National Security program delivery, generate pre-set assets, and support customer engagement / solution financial modeling

  • Support SMX/Defense & National Security Division thought leadership generation (e.g., Blog & related Media posts, Advisory Decks, etc.)

  • Support to Division “Defense Digital” client solutioning (AWS & Azure) and proposal generation activities

  • Hands-on writing support to Defense Division proposals – to include solutioning, framework definition / refinement, etc.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Clearance Required: Active DoD TS/SCI

  • Self-motivated; ability to maintain excellence with minimum supervision

  • Proven track record of driving consultative / advisory projects, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, setting timelines, holding people accountable and delivering projects on-time and on-budget

  • Excellent leadership and client relationship management skills

  • Excellent business analysis skills and consulting toolkit

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

  • Experience managing customer transformation and/or strategy engagements including integrations of key technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), preferably for DoD or National Security organizations

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Masters preferred)

  • Certification(s) Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP)
