Job Description

New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. In April 2020, our Company announced plans to consolidate our New Jersey campuses into a single New Jersey headquarters location in Rahway, NJ by 2023. Therefore, this role will be temporarily based in a and exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.

As the US Oncology Organization continues grow and evolve, it is important we continue to reinforce and evolve our established business practices. The main objective for the Oncology Operations team is to help the Oncology organization with the mission to achieve business excellence. The Oncology Promotion Operations Senior Specialist is responsible for supporting and improving the processes for creation of promotional resources for customers and patients.

The Senior Specialist will have a growth mindset and be able to quickly assess needs, and propose and implement solutions. Strong candidates should be able to appropriately challenge existing process to allow the Oncology organization achieve its business objectives. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced environment, as well as the ability to collaborate with many teams and competing priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct onboarding training for new job owners and agencies on promotional review processes & systems, helping job owners to navigate complex situations; conduct refresher trainings and 1:1 coaching, to improve performance gaps identified by key indicators and feedback.

  • Lead activities to help the Oncology organization achieve its business objectives, including: managing vendors, developing and tracking key metrics, leading the process for label updates, and owning cross-functional operations-based meetings.

  • Actively identify areas for opportunity in the promotional review and label update processes and collaborate with the Medical Legal Regulatory Review teams to find solutions and make improvements.

  • Develop/enhance resources and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve Oncology operations processes

  • Conduct all activities in full compliance with our company policies, values and standards.

  • Work collaboratively with other relevant functional areas such as Marketing, Learning & Development, Regulatory Affairs, & Leadership.

  • Demonstrate operational efficiency by leveraging best practices and facilitating cross-functional learnings, as applicable.

  • Ensure the operational proficiency of assigned Agencies and other channel outsourced vendors & contractors.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) Required

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in promotions, marketing support, marketing communications, Learning and Development or marketing, of pharmaceutical or biopharma products

  • In-depth knowledge of, and experience as a job owner with end-to-end promotional review & development process (Promotion Review Team experience)

  • Knowledge of commercial, regulatory, and legal compliance policies

  • Veeva/PromoMats experience

  • Experience and success in cross-functional leadership and teamwork

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail

  • Constituency Management across hierarchical lines

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Oncology experience

  • Agency management experience

  • Experience developing and implementing training

  • Knowledge of our commercial, regulatory, and legal compliance policies

  • Experience with accelerated approvals, binder development, & safety label updates

  • Product launch or launch planning experience

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
