Overview of Job Function:

As a Sr. Solution Engineer, you will provide proactive, deep insights into the KPIs and metrics driving Finance, Engineering, and IT business partners on a daily/weekly/monthly cadence. The right candidate will be passionate about working with huge datasets and should be someone who loves to bring data together to answer complex business questions that deepen our understanding of the business drivers, especially revenue and customers. Over time, you will support the development, automation of reporting models and work closely with our stakeholders to implement solutions designed to improve our enterprise business and IT operational analytics. This role is US remote in EST or CST time zones only .

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform business analysis to gather required system requirements

  • Plan and implement data models that will support proper representation of complex BI solutions.

  • Responsible for planning, designing, developing, monitoring, and troubleshooting BI solutions.

  • Create and deliver metrics, reporting platforms and analytical models critical for tracking and managing the business.

  • Develop and implement interactive analytic reports and dashboards using PowerBi, Tableau or similar technologies.

  • Deal with data transformation and preparation before they are presented in reports and dashboards. This may include data integration tools embedded within BI tools and external tools.

  • Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals.

  • Generate automated, repeatable, and stable processes to support data load, data validation, and data synchronizations

  • Must be able to operate in an on-premises environment and a hybrid multi-cloud such as AWS, Azure to name a few.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Statistics or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 8+ years of experience designing enterprise grade solutions with large data sets.

  • Deep experience in statistical analysis, advanced modeling techniques, data transformations, data mining and business analysis.

  • Understands business strategy, provides consultative business analysis, and leverages technical skills to create insightful, effective BI solutions.

  • Proven track record of strong interpersonal, communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate and influence both business and technical teams on the architectural direction.

  • Hands-on experience in SQL, Excel, data mining, and data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau or similar.)

  • Hands-on experience connecting, importing, and transforming multiple data sources while leveraging a diverse set of technologies.

  • Experience with large Oracle and SQL databases.

  • Experience with large data warehouses like NoSQL, Hadoop, Redshift, Azure Data Lake.

  • US Remote, required to work in EST or CST time zones.

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Fluent understanding and ability to write, maintain and troubleshoot complex SQL queries both in SQL Server and Oracle databases

  • Working experience with large Asset Management and CMDB environments.

  • Working experience with financial systems.

  • Working Experience in Talend, R, Power Query (M Data query language) and/or Python (data extraction, data transformations, data manipulation, and analysis platforms).
