We are looking for an Sr. Cyber Security Analyst to join our team! This position can be based anywhere in the US as it is a home office position.
What you will do:
Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them
Perform daily reviews of different security systems and tools.
Proactively identify security flaws and vulnerabilities
Audit systems for secure configuration.
Continuous vulnerability assessment and recommend remediation procedures
System/Network security monitoring with Security Information Event Management tools
Active participation in Incident Response team meetings
Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls
Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies
Continuously review security bulletins and related news; stay apprised of current threats and trends
Participate in data and root cause analysis for each service impacting incident with all possible corrective actions for improvement
Working in partnership with other teams to improve defensive posture.
Track CVE based security threats and map to internal controls and remediation plans
Perform internal and external risk assessments for company systems
Map security practices to regulatory controls (HIPAA, CIS control, PCI-DSS, SOX)
Monitor networks for security breaches and conduct RCA post breach
Conduct penetration testing individually, with the security team, or consultants
Research security trends and correlate with company practices, recommend improvements as required
Assist in the development of customized policies, procedures, controls, disaster recovery plans and technical documentation for applications, systems, and infrastructure.
Evaluation of software and technologies for placement within the company (DLP, SIEM, orchestration, web application firewalls, DNS filtering, traffic examination)
This role might be a good fit if you:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, cyber security, or equivalent industry experience
At least one certification (CISSP, etc)
8 to 10 years of relevant experience
Ability to work in a matrix organization across worldwide offices and teams
Strong knowledge on Qualys, Bitsight and any SIEM tool(implementation)
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical employees outside of IT
Work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment
Excellent written documentation, reports, and ability to present to small groups
Strong understanding of Microsoft & Linux operating systems
Strong understanding of IP networking & network security frameworks
Manage projects individually or with the IT Project Management Office
