Overview of Job Function:

The Sr Analytics Consultant works in our branch workforce analytics division and is responsible for developing and implementing analytics solutions for our clients. This includes creating reports, using programming skills to sort through large amounts of information and complete data processing and analytics to suggest business process changes.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Import data into Excel or SQL server database.

  • Perform data clean-up; identify data discrepancies; generate basic descriptive statistics.

  • Query and analyze data using SQL queries.

  • Perform data aggregation, summarization and perform statistical analysis.

  • Generate charts and views showing trends, correlations.

  • Develop reports (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to document analysis and results.

  • Participate in client meetings related to project design, analysis approach, and results reporting.

  • Contribute ideas and effort to improve internal processes, enhance existing products and services, and create new/improved offerings.

  • Responsible to automate data pull, load, and analysis tasks.

  • Organize and parse large datasets (most likely in SQL).

  • Participate and contribute in project design, planning, and execution of projects.

  • Manage day-to-day (operational) communication tasks involving clients to get/send data or information, organize project tasks, meetings, and manage timelines and expectations.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience analyzing data

  • Expert in relational databases and T-SQL (particularly MS SQL Server)

  • Intermediate to advance skills in at least one procedural, object-oriented language (e.g. Python, C#, Java, VB, VBA)

  • Experience with statistics including hypothesis testing and regression analysis

  • Skilled in data analysis, manipulation, and summarization tasks used in analytical engagements

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with demanding project schedules

  • Business acumen and strong written and oral communications skills

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.

    Preferred Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in related discipline

  • Experience in the Financial Services/Banking industry

  • Consulting experience

  • Knowledge of conducting statistical analysis in R

  • Experience in contributing to project design decisions

  • Experience in generating ideas in analysis approach and data visualization

  • Understanding of industrial engineering principles such as process mapping and optimization, lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc.
