COLSA Corporation SharePoint and Power Apps Developer (NCAPS) in Topeka, Kansas
COLSA is searching for individuals who can deliver application development and support for NASA's enterprise business systems. Selected candidate will deliver and sustain capabilities in a fast-paced SAFe agile development environment. Work includes collaborating on systems and solutions supporting large portfolios from business, analysis, technical, systems, data, and enterprise functions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions) + Provides hands-on technical expertise to design and implement Power Platform based solutions satisfying customer requirements + Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform applications. This includes working with Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerBI to design, develop, and maintain integrated solutions.* + Advises on automating workflows, integrating requirements with existing capabilities, communication requirements, control, and administration of information management systems, and equipment.* + Applies specialized knowledge of applications and systems to improve business systems processes and supporting business strategies.* + Provides senior-level software development support.* + Applies comprehensive knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.* + Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software.* + Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.* + Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.* + Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software; addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.* + Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.* + Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects and presents to management. + Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools. + Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. + May Instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on development team. + Participates in development of software user manuals and other user documentation. + Aids in process improvement activities and in development of procedures and policies.* + Defines business values and technical solutions that would improve the business, coordinating with technical teams and business users.* + Works closely with stakeholders to define user requirements, provide integrated solutions based on the organization's standards, and ensure business system and/or processes meet objectives.* + Supports changes made to the existing business systems environment.* + Prepares project plans, identifies and resolves issues, and communicates project status.* + Prepares testing, training, and security plans.* + Educates users in the strategic use of the organization's IT and applications portfolio.* + May lead projects and other initiatives to provide technical advice to business associates. + May provide work leadership to lower level employees. Required SkillsRequired Experience + Bachelor's degree or higher in business or technical discipline + Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience + US Citizenship required; must be able to pass a NASA background investigation for a position of public trust + Experience in designing, developing, and deploying workflow solutions using Microsoft Power Platforms; SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc. Preferred Qualifications: + Software skills: Drupal, Wordpress, Ruby on Rails + Demonstrated experience working on Agile projects using Agile/Scrum methodology Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
