Job Description

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company to inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as a Software Asset Manager in Cambridge, MA office where you will create an overview of the software in use, required licensing whilst ensuring companywide software compliance Develop licensing strategy, manage software budgets, prepare and influence contract negotiations and risk reduction. You will also monitor software investments and spending, and the use of software Manage Software Asset Management (SAM) managed service providers. As part of the team, you will report to and work with the Lead Business Analyst ITIO.

How you will contribute:

  • Manage the creation of license overviews based on commercial and usage data on a global level

  • Manage r completeness and accuracy of the license balance, valid licensing terms, and contracts, metrics, downgrade rights, multiple-use rights.

  • Initiate measures derived from the license balance sheet and control successful implementation

  • Manage ad-hoc measures, e.g. audits, management requests.

  • Coordinate SAM requirements within the region of responsibility, e.g. vendors, platforms

  • Coordinate the conception of SAM in technical and procedural matters and expand capabilities on SAM

  • Build relationships with Team members

  • Contribute to project budgets or budget owners and reporting based on available data within own area

  • Provide input and influence contract negotiations

  • Maintain SAM tool operations and service providers

  • Manage the operational activities within the SAM team and third parties, e.g. SAM managed service providers

  • Provide best practice solutions related to licensing and maintain a high level of knowledge related to software licensing

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent

  • 4 or more years relevant experience

  • Practice and coordinate tasks, working in an international environment

  • Understanding of how IT efforts are tied to goals

  • Profound experience in software licensing, IT operations, and SW procurement

  • Experience with technological, commercial, and legal aspects in the context of software licensing

  • Knowledge of relevant solutions

  • Prepare and implement business meetings virtual, face-to-face, local, or global to ensure meeting required deliverables

  • Experience communicating to business and IT leaders on content, context, and process
